Mariveles 2X300MW Thermo-power Plant in Philippines, located in Luzon Island near Mariveles Port, is undertaken by CNEEC. The EPC contract value amounts to USD 580 million.
The plant consists of two 1097t/h subcritical pressure boilers and 2 subcritical condensing steam turbines of type single medium reheat, single shaft dual drainages. The generators' frequency is 60Hz with a demand of advanced technology, and the generated electricity will be transmitted to State Grid of Philippines via 230 GIS.
The project is not only the first EPC project with generator sets of 60Hz and 300MW undertaken by Chinese companies, but also the very first project of Chinese Financial institutions which adopts project-financing structure. As it is the largest contract ever signed between China and Philippines, it promotes greatly the exportation of mechanical and electrical products of China and improves the commercial cooperation between the two countries.
