Beijing Shuangyushu Heat Supply Plant (BSHSP) is one of "Beijing Environmental Protection Projects" utilizing World Bank loan. Utilizing the natural gas as the fuel, its waste gas emissions such as flue dust, SO2 and NOX were much lower that the norms. It took place of 364 boilers in about 142 upwind boiler houses and reduced the air pollution in the district.
Its heating capacity is 696MW for 12million m² of floor area, the largest in Asia. It installed 6X116MW gas-fired hot water boilers (largest unit capacity in China), with a maximum hot water supply capacity of 8250t/h. its heating network design pressure is 1.6MPa, and supplying/returning water temperature 50/40-70℃. In the plant, installed gas offtake station, of which the maximum diameter of the gas tube is DN1000. BSHSP has high automatic control level and advanced design. It has received a lot of visitors from heat supply units from all over the country, and is highly appraised by experts. The project was awarded the prize of Great-Wall Cup, the highest prize for project construction in Beijing and the bronze prize for Science & Technology Progress in Machinery Industry of China.
